comments disabled | send to friend | submit news Report from QWC setTheSnitch.co.uk received a short set report from a reader with some information about a scene they were filming at Leavesden Studios:
Just
a quick line to let you know that generators, smoke machines, flame generators and massive sodium lamps have been burning
long into the night this week on the Leavesden back lot Quidditch World Cup camp site set.
Filming was taking place
on the very edge of the set tonight (Weds 10/11/04) and it was a generally held opinion amongst those watching that Harry,
Ron & Hermione could all be seen in action running through smoking and flaming tents!Included with the report
was a
picture of the scene being filmed. Emerson has confirmed that Dan was the only one running through the campsite. Emma and Rupert
were not present.
Posted by Mike on 11/11 | comments disabled | send to friend | submit news Exciting news from the setTwo weeks ago, myself and four other journalists
including Melissa from TLC received an invitation from Warner Bros. to visit the Goblet of Fire set. They flew us out, put
us in a very posh hotel and we spent the most amazing day at Leavesden Studios. (I know, what a rough life I lead.) WB has
asked us to not post our reports until a later date - probably January - but I will give you a few teasers here.
First,
take it for what you will, the Prefects' Bathroom scene with Harry and Myrtle HAS been shot.
And second, GOF is, according
to several of the people we spoke to, shaping up to be both funnier
and darker (because of Cedric's death) than the
previous three films.
Stay tuned for more. I can't wait to post my report for you guys to read - you're gonna love
it. GOF is looking great.

EDINBURGH was last night named as the world's first City of Literature in a decision which could have a multi-million-pound
spin-off for Scotland.
Edinburgh has long since played an important role in leading Scotland's literary community, including
the highly-successful book festival run each year in conjuction with the Edinburgh International Fetival. Best-selling modern
writers such as Joanne Rowling, Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall Smith, Irvine Welsh, and Candia McWilliam are all linked to the
city. Also found in Edinburgh are a series of places linked to writers: the Scott Monument to Sir Walter Scott; Milne's Bar
in Rose Street, where poets Hugh MacDiarmid and Norman MacCaig drank; the Oxford Bar made famous by Rankin's Inspector Rebus;
and Nicolsons cafe, where J K Rowling wrote her first Harry Potter books.
